With so many people having different kinds of flu and viruses these days, I bought this product Philips Sonicare UV Toothbrush Sanitizer. I get a little bit worried about this movie clip that I watched that measured the amount of bacteria on a bathroom's counter. The device showed that there are billions of bacteria living on a counter that looked sparkling clean. If this is the case then I figured that a toothbrush sanitizer is something that I really needed.
The product description says that it uses UV technology to wipe away almost 99% of bacteria on the toothbrush head. I have read that UV is an effective microbe killer. The sanitizer ensures that I don't get more bacteria from using my toothbrush. I have been using Oral-B toothbrushes and I am happy that the little machine supports this brand.
It's a bit confusing at first because there are many bases from which you can put the toothbrush on but it doesn't take me long to find the right base for my Oral-B toothbrush. It is very easy to use. All I have to do is to put the toothbrush on the base, close it and then turn it on. After 10 minutes, there are no more bacteria on my bristles of my toothbrush.
10 minutes is a pretty long time to wait to sanitize your toothbrush. What I usually do is sanitize it after brush my teeth and then just put it there.
